Akshaya Bhargava
CEO
Mr. Bhargava has an extensive financial services background and is a well known industry leader in outsourcing. Prior to joining Fulcrum in June 2007, Mr. Bhargava was an Operating Partner with 3i. Prior to 3i, he was the founding CEO of Infosys BPO (formerly Progeon Ltd, one of India’s largest BPO companies and subsidiary of Infosys Ltd, India’s second-largest IT services company). During his four years as CEO, Mr. Bhargava grew Progeon from a start-up to a business with over 7,000 employees that grew revenues at triple digit growth rates with industry leading margins. Before Progeon, he worked for Citibank for 22 years in a variety of leadership roles. Mr. Bhargava is a recognized figure in the Indian outsourcing industry and author of "Random Notes on Indian BPO" published by ICFAI University Press in 2007.
Chris Mulhern
Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Mulhern has overall responsibility for the management, production and delivery of fund administration services to BFG’s clients. He is responsible for management of BFG’s production offices and operations, including capacity planning and recruitment. Mr. Mulhern joined Fulcrum from Citco Fund Services, where he was most recently Managing Director of the Toronto office, overseeing 480 staff. He was with Citco in various positions for over ten years in Canada, New York, San Francisco and Halifax. Prior to this, he worked in public accounting
Malcolm Glyn
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Glyn oversees the finance and human resource functions across the firm having joined in 2008. Prior to Fulcrum, Mr. Glyn served as Group Finance Director for Celerant Consulting, an international 700 person consulting firm. Previously he served as Corporate Finance Manager at Avis Europe plc, and then as Commercial Director of a marketing services business within the WPP Group plc. Mr. Glyn started his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. He graduated from Sheffield University, in the United Kingdom, with a B.A (Honours) in Economics and Business Studies and is a U.K Chartered Accountant (ACA).
Tim Calveley
Chief Risk Officer
Mr. Calveley joined Fulcrum in November 2006 as Chief Financial Officer and transitioned to the newly created role of Chief Risk Officer in January 2008. Prior to Fulcrum, Mr. Calveley served as Chief Financial Officer for West End Capital Management (Bermuda) Limited, a hedge fund manager, managing in excess of $1 billion in assets specializing in the global fixed income markets. From this position, he was part of a team that launched Flagstone Reinsurance Limited, founded with capital of over $700 million raised by the management of West End Capital. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Flagstone Reinsurance until June 2006. Mr. Calveley also served as senior auditor for KPMG in London and Bermuda. Mr. Calveley graduated from Essex University, in the United Kingdom, with a B.A (Honours) Economics and an M.A. in Economics. He is a U.K. Chartered Accountant (ACA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Paul Didyk
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Didyk brings extensive knowledge of the investment industry and portfolio management process to BFG. He is responsible for all aspects of BFG’s technology and infrastructure initiatives. Prior to this, he was the Development Manager at offshore brokerage firm, The LOM Group of Companies (Bermuda), specializing in trading systems and STP initiatives, and a Systems Development Manager at Hemisphere Management Limited (now BISYS).He has also served as a Fund Accountant at MD Management Ltd. (Ottawa, Canada), a fund administration company. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, with a major in finance, minor in information systems and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Tim Thornton
Head of Product Strategy
Mr. Thornton is responsible for defining and developing BFG’s product range and service offerings as well as having overall responsibility for pricing and profitability. Mr. Thornton also provides technical support to BFG’s operations and to the Client Acquisition Team and assuring control of the quality of the client reporting process. Prior to his current role, Mr. Thornton was responsible for establishing the London office and assisting in the setup of the India office. Before joining Fulcrum in 2002, Mr. Thornton worked in the fund practice of Arthur Andersen in Bermuda. There he gained experience in the accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements relating to offshore funds operating under Canadian, U.S. and U.K. GAAP. Mr. Thornton holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours from UMIST, Manchester. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA) and a CFA Charter Holder.
